Second Semester

In which I return to college, and also decide to start a blog

As I write this, it is the second day of the second semester, and I am in a considerably good mood. My calculus recitation ended early, so I had ample time to grab a chai tea latte from Starbucks before heading back to the Honors building for some down time before my next class. As I made my way across campus, I couldn't help smiling as I thought to myself that I had made it through my first semester of college. Today is a warm day for January, but still a little chilly overall. On my way back to Honors I was hit by several strong gusts of wind similar to those that blow under the Math building, or "the wind tunnel" as it's affectionately called by students. If I hadn't know better, I could have easily mistaken today to be early Spring.

I finally made it to Honors and snagged a seat in the great hall, eager to get started on the idea that had wormed its way into my head and stuck there. In my time short time since leaving home, there has been an ever increasing demand from my family and friends to hear how and what I'm doing. I have tried my best to keep them satisfied through the occasional phone call or Instagram post. I even went so far as to make a shared folder on Google Drive where I could post folders with pictures accompanied by a short blurb about what I was up to. But it still wasn't enough. The truth of the matter is that I am a writer at heart, and none of the other mediums of communication are suited for writers quite like a traditional blog. So today, I start down a path better suited to who I am as a person with the goal to give you a peek into my life.
